Northern Virginia Mental Health Institute is seeking a full time Occupational Therapist to support the recovery of adults with serious mental illness. The position includes evaluation and documentation of patients' functional and cognitive skills, participation on interdisciplinary treatment teams, provision of life skills groups, and individual interventions.

The successful candidate will have at least entry-level knowledge of principles and practice of Occupational Therapy, have strong communication skills, be a team player, and have the ability to work on multiple tasks in a fast-paced, stimulating environment.

Graduation from an AOTA accredited school of Occupational Therapy required. Current license to practice Occupational Therapy in the Commonwealth of Virginia or eligibility for NBCOT certification, and be eligible for licensure to practice Occupational Therapy in the Commonwealth of Virginia required. Experience in a psychosocial setting is preferred. Starting salary range begins at $55,500 and is negotiable based on experience and current salary.
