Provide basic life skills training, psychological support, and personal hygiene for adult patients in an inpatient mental health facility.  Duties include treatment plan implementation emphasizing personal care and behavioral, physical, & psycho-social development with the goal of self-reliance of patients served.  Position requires the ability to follow written and oral instructions, and good interpersonal skills.

Experience in a direct care position in one of the following health care settings: mental/behavioral health, substance abuse services, or intellectual/developmental disabilities. A degree in Psychology, Rehabilitative Services or other related majors can be substituted for experience. Valid driver’s license preferred.

A 30-day (7:00am-3:30pm) orientation program is provided. Forty hour work week with some weekends and holidays required. Candidates selected for an interview will be asked to complete a writing sample at the time of interview. Multiple positions are available for this role.

A fingerprint based criminal history check and pre-employment drug screening will be required for the selected candidate. Starting salary range begins at $25,092. This position opened on 4/29/13 with a minimum five-day posting requirement.
