Provide basic life skills training, psychological support, and personal hygiene for adult patients in an inpatient mental health facility.  Duties include treatment plan implementation emphasizing personal care and behavioral, physical, & psycho-social development with the goal of self-reliance of patients served. The successful candidate will have the ability to follow written and oral instructions, and have good interpersonal skills. 

Currently enrolled in or completed a degree program in Psychology, Sociology, Health Care major, or a related field or prior experience in a direct care position in a psychiatric setting required.  Valid driver’s license preferred.

A 30-day (day shift, 7am-3:30pm) orientation program is provided. Forty hour work week with some weekends and holidays required. Candidates selected for an interview will be asked to completed a writing sample at the time of interview.

A fingerprint based criminal history check and pre-employment drug screening will be required for the selected candidate. Starting salary range begins at $25,092. This position opened on 11/23/09 with a minimum five-day posting requirement.
