This position functions as a
food service lead worker and provides oversight of food production when Food
Service Manager is not on duty. Some of the duties include providing
instructions on safe use of all food service equipments, monitoring safety
practices, ensuring menus are being followed, performing cooking and food
preparation duties, delivering trays, snacks, and nourishments to patient
units, receiving food delivery, supervising and assisting in daily cleaning of
food service equipments and all areas of food service department, monitoring
and recording dish machine temperatures, keeping storage areas clean, and
assisting in ensuring adequate food inventory. The successful candidate will
have knowledge of food production, food service equipment operation, sanitation
procedures, and good communication skills.
Experience working in food
preparation is required. A valid Northern Virginia Food Management
Certification must be obtained within 60 days of employment in this
position.
One position is on the AM
shift (5:15am-2:00 pm) and one position is on the PM shift (10:00 am – 6:45
pm). Please indicate which shift you
